CLOUDY SKIES CONTINUE NORTH OF THE UMPQUA DIVIDE BUT ELSEWHERE SKIES
ARE MOSTLY CLEAR. THEREFORE EXPECT ANOTHER COOL NIGHT AND WILL
CONTINUE WITH THE FROST WARNING FOR EAST OF THE CASCADES. EVERYTHING
IS STILL ON TRACK FOR THE NEXT LOW PRESSURE TO DROP INTO OREGON
MONDAY. THIS LOW IS SUPPORTED BY AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG 125KT JET
THAT WILL DIVE DOWN ALONG THE COASTAL WATERS. AIR MASS WILL BE
UNSTABLE ON MONDAY WITH SHOWER ACTIVITIES WITH POSSIBLE
THUNDERSTORMS IN CURRY COUNTY. THE UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL ALSO BE
MOVING ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA DURING THE DAY WITH POTENTIAL FOR
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS FOR EAST SIDE. THIS SYSTEM APPEARS WET AND
THERE SHOULD BE RAINFALL WITH THESE STORMS. THIS STORM WILL ALSO
BRING GUSTY AFTERNOON NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS...ESPECIALLY EAST OF
THE CASCADES AND ALONG THE SHASTA VALLEY. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE
TO BE MILD THROUGH TUESDAY BEFORE WARMING FROM WED ON WITH OFFSHORE
FLOW AT THE COAST.
EXTENDED...WARMING AND DRYNG TREND WITH TEMPERATURES RETURNING TO
SEASONAL NORMS. MEDIUM RANGE GUIDANCE INDICATES THAT WE MAY SEE
ANOTHER TROUGH DROPPING INTO THE PAC NW AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND.
