Flash flooding developed over the the western part of Guadalupe County as 4 inches of rain fell in just under three hours. Only minor damage was indicated to roads and bridges, with more significant damage to crops in the area.
Up to 3 inches of rain fell across the western part of the Caldwell County causing minor flash flooding through the early morning. Minor damage reported was to roads and bridges, with some damage to crops in the area.
Two inches of rainfall in a two-hour period caused very localized and brief flooding over the southeast section of Bastrop county. A 46-yr old man drowned as his vehicle was washed off a rural road into Buckner's Creek, about six miles east of Rosanky.
As the offices recorded each death: direct deaths were caused by the weather itself, indirect ones by something it set in motion.
