AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 419 AM EDT SUN MAY 12 2002 CURRENTLY...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE SPREAD EAST ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA OVERNIGHT. ONE WOULD WONDER WHERE THE INSTABILITY IS AT WITH RATHER CHILLY TEMPERATURES AND EAST NORTHEAST WINDS AT THE SURFACE. WARM FRONT IS JUST TO THE SOUTH OF THE FORECAST AREA SETTING THE STAGE FOR ELEVATED CONVECTION ACROSS THE AREA. WET PATTERN DEVELOPED AND IS EXPECTED TO HANG AROUND FOR A WHILE. WARM FRONT IS PROGGED TO MOVE TO NORTHERN OHIO TODAY AND LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK EAST ALONG THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY. THIS WILL KEEP THE BEST INSTABILITY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE FORECAST AREA. WILL MENTION OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGHOUT TODAY AND INTO TONIGHT AS SYSTEM PUMPS WRAP AROUND LOW LEVEL CLOUDS AND LIGHT PRECIPITATION INTO THE AREA. THEN ON TUESDAY..NEXT SYSTEM ROTATES SOUTHEAST INTO THE AREA BRINGING ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN TO THE AREA. STAYED FAIRLY CLOSE TO ETA GUIDANCE TEMPERATURES THROUGH FIRST 48 HOURS. .CLE... OH...NONE.
