AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION...UPDATE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS 810 PM MDT FRI MAY 10 2002 JUST SENT OUT AN EXTENSIVE UPDATE OF ALL ZONES. IN GENERAL... INCREASED CLOUD COVER ALL ZONES THAT HAD PARTLY CLOUDY. ALSO BASED ON SURFACE OBSERVATIONS TO THE SOUTH OF OUR AREA AND RUCII... DECIDED TO INCREASE PATCHY FOG TO AREAS...AND TO ALSO ADD DRIZZLE. RUCII HAS MOST IF NOT ENTIRE CWFA BELOW 5 MILES...AND BRINGS IN A HALF MILE OR LESS DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THIS MATCHES WELL WITH WHAT HAS BEEN OCCURING AT DDC. LATEST SURFACE OBSERVATIONS AND AREA WIND PROFILERS HAVE WINDS FROM THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 30 MPH. SO CHANGED ALL ZONES TO THAT WITH A SLIGHT WIND SHIFT TO THE SOUTH IN THE COLORADO COUNTIES. EVEN THOUGH CLOUDS WERE COMING IN...A FEW ZONE GROUPS WERE NEAR TO SLIGHTLY BELOW LOW TEMP FORECAST. SO ADJUSTED TEMPS DOWN SLIGHTLY SINCE SHOULD NOT DROP MUCH MORE DUE TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AND CLOUD COVER. .GLD...NONE. BULLER
