DAYS 1-2...

COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH WESTERN KS OVERNIGHT. ALONG THE FRONT
THERE WILL BE A DECENT CHANCE OF STORMS. GOING FCST HAS 40% POPS AND
THIS LOOKS ON TRACK. PRECIP MAY LINGER NORTH OF THE FRONT MONDAY,
ESPECIALLY IN THE SW WHERE MOISTURE WILL BE DEEPER. BAROCLINIC ZONE
AND MOISTURE CONVERGENCE SHIFT FURTHER SOUTH AND WEST TUESDAY. ITS
POSSIBLE THAT MOST OF THE PRECIP WILL BE IN OK AND TX PANHANDLE AS
DRIER BOUNDARY LAYER AIR ADVECTS IN FROM THE NE. BUT ELEVATED STORMS
MAY LINGER ACROSS SOUTHWEST WHERE THE LOW-LEVEL FLOW WILL BE MORE
SOUTHEASTERLY. GOING TEMP FCST LOOKS BASICALLY ON TRACK WITH ONLY
MINOR TWEAKS NEEDED.

DAYS 3-7...

EXAMINING THE 20/12Z ECMWF, THE 21/00Z MRF, AND THE 21/12Z RUNS OF
THE AVN, ETA AND UKMET SHOWED THE MRF HAD COME AROUND FROM YESTERDAY
RUNS, AND MATCHED MORE CLOSELY THE TIMING OF THE FROPA MON INTO TUE.
ASSUMING THE FRONT HAS CROSSED CWA AND ENDED UP NEAR THE RED RIVER
VALLEY LATE TUESDAY, IT SHOULD GET PUSHED BACK AS A WARM FRONT LATE
WEDNESDAY, LEADING INTO ANOTHER WARMING TREND THU-SAT. THERE COULD
WELL BE MANY POINTS IN THE CWA OVER 100 AGAIN THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND
SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE SLIGHT CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS SOUTHEAST
CWA TUESDAY NIGHT IN POSSIBLE ELEVATED CONVECTION, THEN AGAIN ON
FRIDAY NIGHT AS A RATHER STRONG, ALTHOUGH COMPACT, SHORT WAVE ROUNDS
THE UPPER HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED FROM OUR WEST. SOUTHERLY LOW LEVEL
FLOW WILL PROVIDE SOME CONVERGENCE FROM THE BOUNDARY LAYER. DO NOT
PLAN TO GO WITH MANY OTHER CHANGES FROM CURRENT GOING FORECAST. WILL
TREND THE CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST FROM
EARLY SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY MORNING, WITH ONLY SLIGHT CHANCES TSRA IN
SOUTHEAST COUNTIES SUNDAY MORNING.
