--SYNOPSIS--
WATER VAPOR IMAGES SHOW A RATHER CHAOTIC PATTERN ALOFT WITH MEAN
TROUGHING OVER THE SERN COAST. SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT VERY LOOSE.
VISIBLE SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW DEEP CONVECTION BEGINNING ALONG THE
SEA BREEZE OVER OUR WRN ZONES. E COAST SEA BREEZE CONVECTION ALSO
MAKING HEADWAY TOWARDS OUR ERN ZONES.
--FORECAST--
TUESDAY...LOCAL THINKING HAS BEEN THAT THE MODELS ARE A BIT TOO
AGGRESSIVE DRYING THINGS OUT. HOWEVER...AS SUPPRESSED AS THINGS ARE
LOOKING THIS AFTERNOON...WE CANT DISCOUNT THIS POSSIBILITY
ENTIRELY. SHORT RANGE ENSEMBLE POPS ARE LOW OVER MOST AREAS...
AROUND 20%. DUE TO A LACK OF CONFIDENCE...WILL STICK WITH THESE
NUMBERS...EXCEPT FOR 30% IN GA FOLLOWING ETA GUIDANCE.
WEDNESDAY...MODELS PLACE WEAK SURFACE TROUGH OVER OUR NRN ZONES...
WHICH COULD BE A FOCUS FOR CONVECTION. SHORT RANGE ENSEMBLE POPS ARE
MUCH HIGHER...60-80% OVER MOST OF OUR ZONES. WILL START OUT WITH 40%
FOR NOW...AND LATER SHIFTS CAN DECIDE TO RAMP THIS UP IF NECESSARY.
FIRE WEATHER - NO HIGHLIGHTS.
MARINE - NO HIGHLIGHTS EXPECTED. LOWERED WINDS SLIGHTLY IN EARLIER
PERIODS AND RAISED THEM IN THE EXTENDED.
EXTENDED (THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY) - UPPER WEAKNESS EXPECTED TO
REMAIN OVER THE SERN USA THROUGH MOST OF THE EXTENDED WITH VARIABLE
MEAN FLOW BELOW 700 MB. CAN NOT REALLY BE MORE SPECIFIC THAN A CLIMO
FORECAST.
