The Sterling Highway was partially closed Monday afternoon after a section along the Blackwater Bend, near Milepost 160, became submerged under a foot of water. Flooding was primarily due to an already high Anchor River and accelerated snowmelt due to high freezing levels and very warm air at lower elevations.
