CURRENT SURFACE MAP SHOWS COLD FRONT SWEEPING ACROSS EASTERN MT AND
CENTRAL WY. WEAKENING UPPER LOW CENTERED OVER SW SD. WHERE THERE HAS
BEEN SOME SUN...STRONG STORMS HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS SE MT AND
CENTRAL WY JUST AHEAD OF FRONT AND BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO NE WY
COUNTIES. OTHER SHRA CONTINUE TO PUSH NORTH ACROSS CENTRAL SD.

MODELS IN RELATIVELY GOOD AGREEMENT THRU NEXT 48 HRS. AVN A BIT
FASTER WITH MOVEMENT OF CURRENT SYSTEM THAN ETA AND NGM. HAVE CHOSEN
TO FOLLOW ETA WITH ITS BETTER INITIALIZATION OF FEATURES AND PCPN.
UPPER LOW AND COLD FRONT WILL TRACK ACROSS CWA LATE THIS AFT AND
EVENING. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST...HELPING TO CUT OFF
MOISTURE AND DRY THINGS OUT FROM WEST TO EAST. IN THE MEANTIME...
SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AHEAD OF FRONT. A FEW
STORMS WILL BE STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE ACROSS NE WY BEFORE THEY
HIT MORE STABLE AIR IN SD. THESE STORMS WILL BE SLOW MOVERS AGAIN
WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. EXPECT SHRA AND TSRA
TO EXIT NE WY LATE THIS EVENING... MUCH OF WESTERN SD AFTER
MIDNIGHT...AND LINGER ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL SD EARLY TOMORROW.

HIGH PRES BUILDS IN QUICKLY FROM THE WEST TOMORROW FOR DRY AND
SEASONABLE CONDITIONS. STRONG UPPER LOW WILL MOVE SLOWLY ACROSS SO
CANADA AND WILL BRING A SHOT OF ENERGY SOUTHWARD ON THURSDAY...BUT
ONLY EXPECTING SOME CLOUDS ACROSS NORTHERN AREAS. OTHERWISE...DRY
AND WARMER WX EXPECTED INTO EARLY THIS WEEKEND AS WESTERN RIDGE
BUILDS IN.

IN THE EXTENDED...THE RIDGE WILL FLATTEN AS ANOTHER COLD FRONT IS
EXPECTED TO PASS THROUGH THE REGION LATE THIS WEEKEND. COOLER TEMPS
AND MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE EXPECTED INTO MONDAY. MORE OF A
ZONAL FLOW IS PROGGED TO BUILD IN EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH QUICK MOVING
DISTURBANCES EXPECTED.
