COVERAGE ON THE KCYS 88D HAS BEEN STEADILY INCREASING SINCE LATE
AFTERNOON WITH CLOUD TOPS RAPIDLY COOLING OVER THE CWA.  THE LIFT
WAS BEING PRODUCED BY THE LEFT FRONT QUADRANT OF THE 300 MB JET TO
THE NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHWEST NEW MEXICO UPPER LOW.  THE SAME JET
WILL LIFT THE UPPER LOW TO THE NORTHEAST PER THE MODELS.  THAT
MOVEMENT WILL PLACE AT LEAST THE SOUTHEAST PART OF THE CWA UNDER
STRONG LIFT THROUGH MIDDAY WEDNESDAY.  SURFACE LO OVER EXTREME
NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO AT 00Z WAS ALREADY DEEPER THAN MODELS DEPICTED
AND SHOULD LIFT NORTHEAST WITH THE UPPER LOW.  00Z ETA WAS SIMILAR
TO ITS 12Z RUN WITH QPF AMOUNTS OVER THE CWA THROUGH WEDNESDAY FAIRLY
CLOSE.  WILL CONTINUE THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE
WYOMING PART OF THE CWA AND CHANGE THE WINTER STORM WATCH TO A WARNING
FOR THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE FOR LATE TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.  QUESTION
IN THE PANHANDLE IS WILL TEMPERATURES COOL ENOUGH FOR SIGNIFICANT

A powerful winter storm produced blizzard conditions over much of far southeast Wyoming,resulting in some power outages and closing many roads. All roads out of Cheyenne were closed with winds in excess of 40 mph and almost 10 inches of snow recorded, while manypower poles were knocked over in eastern Laramie county. 13 inches of snow fell in Chugwater,WY, with 10-12 inches common over much of Laramie county and the southern Laramie mountainrange.
