EAST. WEAK SURFACE LOW JUST WEST OF CLT ENHANCING PRECIPITATION FROM
MY SOUTHERN ZONES INTO SOUTHERN NORTH CAROLINA. THIS LOW AND
PRECIPITATION TO MOVE NORTH-NORTHEAST TODAY. BASED ON CLOUD COVER
AND WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION...WILL LOWER MAX TEMPERATURES A BIT FOR
THIS AFTERNOON IN MOST AREAS AND INCLUDE WORDING OF RAIN HEAVY AT
TIMES IN ALL ZONE GROUPS. ALSO...THINKING IS THAT CHANCE FOR ANY
THUNDERSTORMS IN MY CWA IS GETTING LESS...BUT STILL NOT WORTH TAKING
OUT DUE TO STRONG DYNAMICS.

EARLY THIS EVENING EAST OF THE BLUE RIDGE...

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND THIS EVENING. SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE FRONT. EVEN THOUGH WIDESPREAD RAIN HAS LIMITED
THE INSTABILITY OF THE ATMOSPHERE...THE POTENTIAL STILL EXISTS FOR
ANY THUNDERSTORMS TO REACH SEVERE LEVELS EAST OF THE BLUE
RIDGE. THE THREAT FROM SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND
EARLY THIS EVENING WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND PERHAPS A TORNADO.

SKYWARN ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
