830 PM CST SAT MAR 3 2001

SURFACE LOW EXITING NORTHEAST AWAY FROM THE COUNTY WARNING AREA AND
DRAGGING THE PRECIP WITH IT. NEXT UPPER LEVEL TROUGH ENTERING THE
WESTERN COUNTIES AS THIS DISCUSSION IS BEING WRITTEN. PRECIP WITH
THIS SYSTEM HAS EXTENDED INTO THE COUNTRY WARNING AREA SOUTHWARD
ONLY THROUGH THE HILL COUNTRY. DON'T BELIEVE PRECIP WILL EXTEND
TOO MUCH FURTHER SOUTHWARD...BUT WILL LEAVE 20 PERCENT POPS TONIGHT
FOR JUST IN CASE. DON'T BELIEVE POPS WILL LAST ALL NIGHT EITHER.
WILL UPDATE THE 4PM ZONE FORECAST TO QUALIFY THE POPS...ENDING THEN
AFTER MIDNIGHT. WILL HAVE DECREASING CLOUDINESS AFTER THE TROUGH
PASSES AND THE POPS END. SO WILL INCLUDE THAT ALSO IN THE UPDATE.
A DECREASING CLOUDINESS SITUATION WILL PREVAIL WITH PATCHY LIGHT FOG
IN THE MORNING HOURS...OTHERWISE SUNDAY WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY.

AT EARLY TO MID AFTERNOON RAIN HAD ENDED ACROSS WESTERN HALF OF CWA
(EXCEPT FOR A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS FAR WEST) AND PARTIAL CLEARING
FOLLOWING SEVERAL COUNTIES TO THE REAR.   VORT MAX IN NORTHWEST
UPPER FLOW TO TRIGGER SLIGHT TO CHANCE SHOWERS TONIGHT.  AVN
CONTINUES WITH SHOWERS INTO MONDAY EVENING BUT I FAVOR THE DRIER
ETA.  THE SERIES OF BIG UPPER TROUGHS JUST KEEPS COMING WITH THE
NEXT TO BRING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER
