IN THE NEAR TERM...ISOLATED SHOWERS DEVELOPING ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL
TEXAS IN THE VICINITY OF A STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY. CONVECTION
MAKING VERY LITTLE SOUTHWARD PROGRESS AT THIS TIME...AS IT DIES JUST
NORTH OF THE FORECAST AREA. THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY IS PROGGED TO
REMAIN NORTH OF THE AREA AND THEN WASHING OUT. THE LEAD MID LEVEL
TROUGH HAS ALREADY MOVED EAST OF THE AREA. H5 RIDGE WILL BUILD IN
FROM THE WEST.  SOME LOW AND MID-LEVEL MOISTURE WILL REMAIN TRAPPED
UNDER THE RIDGE FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...COMPLETE SUNNY SKIES NOT
EXPECTED.

THE MAIN FORECAST PROBLEM FOR TODAY WILL BE THE INCLUSION OF POPS
FOR THE FIRST PERIOD. MODELS PROG LOW LEVEL MOISTURE CONVERGENCE
BULLSEYE OVER THE NORTH CENTRAL ZONES WITH THE AXIS STRETCHING
WESTWARD. AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM NOT COMPLETELY OUT OF
THE QUESTION BUT DO NOT PLAN TO INCLUDE IN THE ZONES AT THIS TIME
UNLESS CONVECTION TO THE NORTH INCREASES BEFORE ISSUANCE TIME.

EXTENDED FORECAST...BY EARLY NEXT WEEK RIDGE AXIS SHARPENS AS TROUGH
OVER THE EAST CLOSES OFF. MOISTURE WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE AND THE
LOW WILL SHIFT FROM TO THE NORTHWEST. VORT AND MOISTURE AS WELL AS
HEATING COULD TRIGGER ISOLATED/WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...WILL INCLUDE IN MOST ZONES.

MARINE...HIGH PRESS HAS SETTLED ACROSS THE NW GULF...RESULTING IN
VRB WINDS OFFSHORE AND A WEAK E TO SE FLOW ACROSS THE BAYS. THE
MODELS BRING WINDS AROUND TO THE S TONIGHT. HOWEVER...WITH ANOTHER
BOUNDARY LOCATED ACROSS CENTRAL TX PROGD TO STALL N OF FA AND HIGH
PRESS BEHIND THE BOUNDARY SHIFTING E...FEEL WINDS OVER THE MARINE
AREAS WILL BE GENERALLY VRB. BY SAT...THE GRADIENT WILL TIGHTEN
SLIGHTLY AS THE HIGH OVER THE GULF SHIFTS FARTHER E AND LOW PRESS TO
THE WEST DEEPENS. A WEAK TO MOD ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONT THROUGH MID
WEEK. WINDS EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW SCEC CONDITIONS THROUGH THE
PERIOD.
