OKZ001>003-TXZ001>020-202100- TEXAS/OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 125 PM CDT WED JUN 20 2001 THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT ACROSS ALL OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES. A STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHED ACROSS THE CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE THIS AFTERNOON IS EXPECTED TO LIFT NORTH AS A WARM FRONT THIS EVENING. MEANWHILE...THE AIRMASS ACROSS THE PANHANDLES IS BECOMING MODERATELY UNSTABLE DUE TO INCREASING LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE AND DAYTIME HEATING. IN ADDITION...A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL BE MOVING INTO THE AREA LATE TONIGHT. THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.
