DOPPLER RADAR TONIGHT INDICATED LIGHT RAIN OVER NORTHEAST MEXICO
SLOWLY MOVING NORTHEAST.  MOISTURE IS INCREASING VERY RAPIDLY OVER
THE AREA WITH WARM AIR ALOFT OVER COOL AIR AT THE SURFACE CAUSING AN
OVERRUNNING TYPE SITUATION.  WILL KEEP POPS THE SAME AS PREVIOUS
FORECAST WITH 40 PERCENT AS MOISTURE IS CONTINUING TO INCREASE.
TEMPERATURES ARE HOLDING STEADY AT ABOUT MID 50S AND LOWERING TO
UPPER 40S AND LOWER 50S SEEM PRETTY REASONABLE AT THIS TIME.
PREVIOUS FORECAST PACKAGE LOOKS GOOD AT THIS TIME.  NO UPDATES
NEEDED AT THIS TIME.

MARINE...BOY020 REPORTED WINDS FROM THE NORTH AT 17 TO 19 KNOTS WITH

A moderate drought continued for all of deep south Texas although some beneficial rains fell in the early part of the month. Monthly average departures ranged between a half inch to an inch below normal across the Valley. Mc Allen had the largest departure of 2.64 inches below normal. The National Weather Service in Brownsville has accumulated a 20 inch deficit over the 3 year period of 1998 to 2000.
