UPPER LEVEL LOW ALONG THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST AND ITS ASSOCIATED SHORTWAVE WILL LIFT NORTHEAST TONIGHT. THIS WILL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LIFT HELPFUL TO KEEP CONVECTION GOING WELL AFTER SUNSET. ACTIVITY IS MAINLY ACROSS SISKIYOU...EASTERN DOUGLAS AND AREA EAST OF THE CASCADES. EAST OF THE CASCADES WILL HAVE THE MOST WIDESPREAD ACTIVITY BEYOND SUNSET. ON THURSDAY THE AIR MASS WILL NOT BE QUITE AS MOIST. FORECAST OF THETA-E RIDGE AND LIFTED INDEX SUPPORTS FORECAST OF MAINLY EAST SIDE THUNDERSTORMS ON THURSDAY AS FLOW ALOFT ON THE WEST SIDE SHIFTS MORE TOWARD THE SOUTHWEST. UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL REMAIN OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC THROUGH SATURDAY. EXPECT GRADUAL COOLING FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WITH UNSTABLE AFTERNOON AIRMASS SHIFTING A LITTLE FURTHER EAST EACH DAY. BY SUNDAY EXPECT FLOW ALOFT TO BECOME WESTERLY AS A STRONGER REINFORCING TROUGH DROPS SOUTHEAST ACROSS BRITISH COLUMBIA.
