Thunderstorm winds downed many trees along a mile and a half long path approximately five miles south of Mt. Gilead. The damage path began near State Route 61 and roughly followed County Road 170.
Thunderstorm Wind, Holmes

Thunderstorm downburst winds of 60 to 70 mph caused extensive damage on the west side of Millersburg. Hardest hit was the Holmes County Fairgrounds where a covered grandstand was toppled and destroyed. Four other buildings at the fairgrounds were damaged and a small shed was also destroyed. Nearby, a business lost a ten foot section of roof to the high winds. The damage path from the downburst was approximately one half mile in length and several hundred yards in width. Around two dozens trees were downed along this path.
