AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOUNT HOLLY NJ 320 PM EDT WED JUL 11 2001 A THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPED ALONG AN ADVANCING BOUNDARY LINE THIS AFTERNOON AND PRODUCED A SVR THUNDERSTORM OVER EASTERN OCEAN COUNTY AND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE WATERSPOUT OFF BARNEGAT INLET. ANOTHER SHOWER CURRENTLY IN CENTRAL DELAWARE BUT THIS ACTIVITY SHOULD DISSIPATE QUIETLY NEXT HOUR OR SO. UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL PROVIDE THE NE U.S. WITH A NORTHWESTERLY FLOW NEXT FEW DAYS AS IT SITS OVER EASTERN CANADA AND MIGRATES SLOWLY SOUTHWARD. CAN/T RULE OUT A SHOWER FROM TIME TO TIME TOMORROW AFTN INTO FRI IN THE SOUTHERN POCONOS AND EXTREME NW NJ AND IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY AND ADJACENT PORTIONS OF NJ THUR NIGHT AND FRI AND HAVE INTRODUCED SLIGHT CHANCE IN THESE ZONES. BUT PARTLY SUNNY DAYS AND PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLEAR NIGHTS SHOULD BE THE RULE INTO NEXT WEEK. TEMPS TONIGHT INTO SAT WILL BE ON THE COOL SIDE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR BEFORE WARM-UP BEGINS ON SUN.
