WEAK UPPER LOW JUST OFF CALIFORNIA COAST NEAR EKA HAS KICKED OFF
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NE CALIFORNIA AND EXTREME NW NEVADA.  AS
WEST WIND HAVE KICKED IN OFF THE SIERRA ALSO WATCHING AREA FROM
MINERAL COUNTY INTO THE BASIN AND RANGE FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT
IN SURFACE CONVERGENCE.  OTHERWISE...UPPER RIDGE OVER THE PLAINS
BUILDS BACK INTO THE DESERT SW THROUGH FRIDAY.  MOST AREAS WILL SEE
INCREASING 500MB HEIGHTS AND DRIER SW FLOW ALOFT TOMORROW.  UPPER TROF
REMAINS OVER THE PACIFIC NW AND MODELS BRING A FEATURE INTO NW
CALIFORNIA FRIDAY.  AVN REMAINS UNSTABLE ACROSS THE OREGON/NEVADA
BORDER INTO FRIDAY.  WILL RETAIN A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON
CONVECTION ACROSS NORTHERN WASHOE AND LASSEN COUNTIES BOTH TOMORROW
AND FRIDAY.

THE RIDGE WEAKENS SATURDAY AS AN UPPER LOW MOVES AROUND THE EASTERN
PACIFIC RIDGE INTO BRITISH COLUMBIA.  THIS DROPS INTO THE PACIFIC NW
SUNDAY AND WILL BRING BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
SHOWERS TO NE CALIFORNIA AND EXTREME NW NEVADA SUNDAY INTO TUESDAY.
MODELS DIVERGE AFTER SUNDAY WITH ECMWF MOVING THE TROF INTO
ALBERTA...MRF/AVN DROPPING IT ALONG THE OREGON COAST AND THE NOGAPS
KEEPING IT RELATIVELY STATIONARY.  HAVE BACKED OFF SOMEWHAT FROM THE
OLD MRF SOLUTION AS FAR AS COOLING BUT CAN NOT DISCOUNT THE CHANCE OF
SHOWERS CNORTHERN AREAS.  MOST OF WESTERN NEVADA WILL BE QUITE PLEASANT
UNDER THIS PATTERN SAVE SOME BREEZY CONDITIONS.  RIDGE APPEARS TO
BUILD BACK INTO THE AREA WEDNESDAY AS TEMPERATURES MODERATE.  SG
