LIKE THE ETA AND MESOETA MODEL TRENDS TODAY. THEY TRIED TO CATCH THE
MORNING PCPN THAT FIRED ON THE WARM FRONT THIS MORNING. THE WARM
FRONT ON THE SURFACE ANALYSIS SEEMS TO STILL REMAIN OVER THE
NORTHERN 1/4 OF MO...BEING REINFORCED BY CONVECTIVE REDEVELOPMENT
DUE TO THE FRONT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. MODELS LOOK TO BE HANDLING THE
MOVEMENT OF THE SURFACE LOW PRETTY GOOD. AS THE LOW APPEARS TO NOW
BE STARTING TO MOVE ACROSS KS...AS WAS FORECAST.
EXPECT TO SEE CONTINUED REDEVELOPMENT OF SCATTERED CONVECTION IN THE
DEEP MOISTURE AXIS THAT EXTENDS FROM AR INTO SE MO INTO CNTRL IL.
THIS MOISTURE WAS ALSO SEEN IN 850MB DATA AT 12Z AND HAS CHANGED
LITTLE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THE MAIN PCPN THREAT THOUGH WILL BE
LATER THIS EVENING...AS THE STG CONVECTION THAT DEVELOPED AHEAD OF
THE LOW IN WRN MO AND AR MOVS NEWD...AS THE LOW CNTR MOVES NEWD. FOR
THAT REASON...WILL CONTINUE THE FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL OF TONIGHT OVER
THE NORHTWESTERN 2/3 OF CWA.
WENT WITH THAT WATCH AREA...AS THE 88D RADAR ESTIMATED A GOOD AREA
OF WIDESPREAD TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1-2 INCHES IN THE AREA
NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM ST. LOUIS TO NORTH OF DANVILLE. HAVE
THEREFORE EXPANDED THE WATCH TO INCLUDE CHAMPAIGN...VERMILION...AND
PIATT COUNTIES IN WATCH DUE TO PAST PCPN TODAY AND EXPECTED
ADDITIONAL PCPN FCST TONIGHT.
WILL ALSO KEEP WIND ADV GOING THROUGH THE DAY SUNDAY. EXPECT THE
WINDS TO CONTINUE TO INCREASE TONIGHT AS THE LOW CENTER FINALLY DOES
BEGIN TO MOVE AND BE EVEN STRONGER ON SUNDAY AS THE LOW CENTER PULLS
OUT AND WE GET INTO THE WESTERLY COLD ADVECTION FLOW DURING THE
DAY.

Widespread areas of county road flooding was noted...mainly in the northwest. A county road, 4 miles northwest of Rio, was reported to have 2 to 3 feet of water covering it along a 100 foot stretch. The road was blocked off, but not before a mini van drove into the flooded area. No injuries were reported in this incident.
