UPPER LEVEL DIVERGENT FLOW ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH IS TRIGGERING WIDESPREAD SHOWERS NEAR THE MARIANAS BETWEEN 12N AND 20N FROM 138E TO 148E. EXTENSIVE CLOUDINESS...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS PREVAIL OVER MOST OF THE DISCUSSION AREA SOUTH OF 12N. CONVERGENT WIND FLOW NEAR THE SURFACE COMBINED WITH DIVERGENT FLOW ALOFT IS ENHANCING CLOUDS AND SHOWER ACTIVITY ACROSS MICRONESIA WITH AREAS OF CONCENTRATED SHOWERS BETWEEN 1N AND 4N FROM 142E TO 155E AND BETWEEN 4N AND 10N FROM 161E TO EAST OF THE INTERNATIONAL DATELINE. A WEAK CYCLONIC CIRCULATION LOCATED EAST OF PALAU NEAR 7N136E IS PRODUCING SCATTERED SHOWERS. WITHIN 50 MILES OF ITS CENTER.
