The public reported dime size hail in Carrollton and two reports from amateur radio operators provided dime size hail reports along Georgia Highway 166 northeast of Carrollton to Sand Hill.
An amateur radio operator reported dime size hail along highway 166 near the Carroll county border west of McWhorter. The Douglas county 911 center reported that a tree was blown down in Douglasville.
The Rome News Tribune reported that several trees were blown down in Rome and also in Shannon. In addition, a power line was found burning in Rome, presumably because of downed trees.

The Warner Robbins Daily Sun newspaper reported that a major portion of the Warner Robbins Northside Post Office on Davis Drive was blown off leaving a large hole in the roof and forcing the Post Office to be closed indefinitely. Nearby, the roof was also blown off the Community Revival Fellowship Hall on Market Street.
The Rome News Tribune reported that seven power poles were snapped off by strong thunderstorm winds near Plainville. The Gordon county 911 center reported that several trees were also blown down in the Plainville area. The area hardest hit was near Swain School.
The Douglas county 911 center reported that a woman was struck by lightning. The extent of injury was not provided.
