CURRENTLY: EAST SOUTHEAST FLOW WELL ESTABLISHED THIS AFTERNOON AS
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE SETS UP SHOP TO OUR NORTH. PATCHY SMOKE
CONTINUES OVER PORTIONS OF THE COASTAL COUNTIES DOWNWIND FROM
ONGOING WILDFIRES.
FORECAST: HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE IN CONTROL AT ALL LEVELS THROUGH
THE WEEKEND...ALLOWING FOR WARMING TO CONTINUE. SOME PLACES AWAY
FROM THE COAST MAY SEE 90 BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON AS GRADIENT WILL BE
STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE SEA BREEZE TO THE IMMEDIATE COAST. LIMITED
MID AND UPPER LEVEL MOISTURE ALONG WITH SUBSIDENCE WILL PRECLUDE
ANY CHANCE OF SHOWERS DESPITE THE STRONG DAYTIME HEATING.
MARINE: STEADY EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH
SPEEDS JUST BELOW HEADLINE CRITERIA. WINDS WILL BECOME VARIABLE NEAR
THE COAST LATE EACH AFTERNOON WITH STRONG HEATING INLAND.
FIRE WEATHER: HUMIDITY WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY INCREASE TO THE
POINT WHERE WE WILL NOT SEE 35 PERCENT OR BELOW DURING THE
AFTERNOON IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH...SO NO WATCH IS REQUIRED THERE.

A retired National Weather Service meteorologist reported a dust devil on the 6700 block of Grande Bahama Drive in the Town N' Country area of Tampa. Skies were mostly sunny with a few fair weather cumulus clouds, low relative humidity and light east-southeast wind at the time of the reported dust devil.
