.SYNOPSIS...A MOIST NORTHERLY FLOW WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN ARIZONA TONIGHT. SCATTERED SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY
NEXT WEEK...AS VERY MOIST AIR REMAINS OVER THE AREA.

.DISCUSSION...CONVECTION STILL GOING STRONG THIS EVENING...ALTHOUGH
AREAL COVERAGE HAS DECREASED. MOST CONVECTION FIRING ALONG AN OLD
OUTFLOW BOUNDARY/CONVERGENT LINE FROM THE GRAND CANYON TO SOUTH OF
PAYSON. HAD TO EXTEND THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE EASTERN PORTIONS
OF YAVAPAI COUNTY DUE TO THE STRONG STORMS IN THE AREA...ALL OTHER
PORTIONS HAVE EXPIRED. EXPECT CONVECTION TO PRETTY MUCH END BY
MIDNIGHT...WITH A LOT OF DEBRIS CLOUD AND LIGHT SHOWERS FLOATING
AROUND AFTER THAT. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY LOOK LIKE MORE OF THE SAME.
FLASH FLOOD WATCHES WILL PROBABLY CROP UP AGAIN OVER THE
WEEKEND...BUT WILL LEAVE THIS TO THE MID-SHIFT. FIRST PERIOD CLEAN
UP ON THE WAY...NO OTHER UPDATES TONIGHT. PETERSON.
