There were three separate reports of hail near Malott. First, there was a report of dime-sized (0.75") hail 4 miles southwest of Malott at 517 PM PDT. Then there was a report of quarter-sized (1") hail 1 mile west of Malott also at 517 PM PDT. This location also reported a 41 mph thunderstorm wind gust and 0.48 inches of rain in 10 minutes. Finally, there was a report of half-inch diameter hail 1 mile north of Malott at 520 PM PDT. The hail apparently caused damage to several fruit orchards.
