A thunderstorm moved across Groton with strong downburst winds. These winds blew down or uprooted a swath of trees. The downed trees blocked roads. Power lines were blown down with power outages. Roof damage to numerous camps resulted from the damaging winds. Trees fell on and damaged a car and boat. One person received minor injuries when she was blown down by the wind.
