Lightning Strike in Utah, July 22, 2000
Lightning struck the roof of an apartment complex near the flashing on a parapet wall. The lightning traveled along the flashing and down a metal vent pipe into the inner portion of the parapet wall igniting a fire between the ceiling and the roof.
