A small and short-lived tornado struck just northwest of Leon Valley. It was preceded by winds estimated at 40 to 50 mph, along with heavy rain and large hail. Widespread damage was reported to cars in the Leon Valley due to the very large hail. No significant damage was reported as a result of the small tornado.
