Scattered severe storms developed during the early evening hours of the 25th across the Northwest Hill Country. Damaging downbursts struck near Menard, Mason, and Brady, causing mainly tree and roof damage.

Many pecan and oak trees, some 300 years old, were toppled when a downburst struck near Menard. About 100 of the trees had diameters more than 2 feet in diameter. A gazebo was also heavily damaged by the falling trees.
A downburst struck the town of Brady, causing damage to the north side of the city. Several buildings lost parts of their roofs, while tree and shingle damage was widespread. Hail up to 1 inch in diameter acompanied the storm.
A downburst struck near the town of Mason. A telephone pole was snapped and several trees were blown over.
