A severe thunderstorm knocked down numerous trees and wires in the East Stroudsburg area. One tree fell on and damaged a home. The same severe thunderstorm knocked down several trees in Northampton County including the Easton area. Local utilities reported about 7,000 homes and businesses lost power in the two county area that evening.
