A tornado touched down near Lyons Road approximately four miles west of the Town of Martel. The observed damage path was approximately three miles in length and was oriented west to east. The width of the path varied between 100 and 200 yards. Five homes were damaged and two mobile homes destroyed. One of the mobile homes was found wrapped around a large tree.
