A severe thunderstorm knocked down large trees in Rockaway Township in northwestern Morris County. The same thunderstorm also knocked down trees limbs and several trees in the southeast part of the county from Parsippany to Chatham.

The same thunderstorm also knocked down trees limbs and several trees in the southeast part of the county from Parsippany to Chatham. GPU Energy reported that 25,000 homes and businesses lost power in Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties.
