Thunderstorms dumped heavy rain on parts of metro Detroit on the night of the 2nd, with around 2 inches of rain in northern Wayne County. Runoff from the heavy rain caused the Rouge River at Detroit to crest at flood stage (15 feet) between 5 pm and 9 pm EDT on the 3rd.
