Heavy thunderstorm rains moved back over areas that were already saturated from previous thunderstorms. Rainfall rates were estimated up to one inch per hour. Two people were rescued from their vehicle by emergency personnel after a flash flood blocked a street in Fulton. The two people, who were trapped in approximately four feet of water, were not injured. Elsewhere in the county, U.S. Highway 51 was closed on both sides between Clinton and Fulton due to flash flooding of creeks.
