Thunderstorms moved across Hardin County during the early morning hours of the 5th. Lightning struck a tree outside of a house in Steamboat Rock. The tree was toppled and fell onto a propane take. It broke the withdrawal valve resulting in a propane leak and loss of 300 to 500 gallons of propane in addition to the damage to the tank.
