Lightning was blamed for a wildfire in the Sandy Creek area which consumed more than 500 acres. The blaze was confined to a underdeveloped area between County Road 2297 and Old Sandy Creek Road. Two families were evacuated off of Laura Bluff Road. Reported by the Panama City News Herald.
