Thunderstorms produced isolated areas of severe wind across portions of western Oklahoma during the afternoon of the 27th. Power lines and large tree limbs were downed in Elk City in Beckham County, and large tree limbs were downed 4 miles north-northeast of Leedey in Dewey County.

Thunderstorms produced isolated areas of severe wind across portions of western Oklahoma during the afternoon of the 27th. Power lines and large tree limbs were downed in Elk City in Beckham County, and large tree limbs were downed 4 miles north-northeast of Leedey in Dewey County. One lightning strike was also reported in Beckham County, and occurred 7 miles south-southwest of Elk City, where a tank battery in an oil field was struck, igniting a fire.
