Severe thunderstorm winds damaged farm buildings and knocked down several trees in the east and south part of Madison county. In the Godfrey community, winds damaged as many as 9 chicken houses, 5 of which were almost totally destroyed. Six people were trapped in the collapsed buildings and four were injured.
