The State of Florida Division of Emergency Management reported that six to eight inches of rainfall in less than three hours caused widespread flooding to numerous roadways and water damage to homes throughout Cape Coral. Nearly 50 homes reported water damage to carpets while an additional nine homes received major structural damage from floodwaters throughout Cape Coral.
