Dry and windy conditions help spread small wild fires across farm fields in central Whitman county. Several fires were reported from La Crosse to Endicott to St. John with over 600 acres of wheat and barely burned.
Lightning sparked several small fires between Cameron Lake and Omak Lake in the Colville Indian Reservation. A few smaller fires were also reported near Salmon Creek Rd and south of Riverside. Over 200 acres were burned.
