Flash Flooding in Virginia, August 8, 1998
Thunderstorms on the 8th produced very heavy rain resulting in flash flooding. Thunderstorm rains flooded Route 29, five miles south of Lynchburg, Evington Road and Westburg Road in Evington, Memorial Drive in Danville, and caused a mudslide on Route 58 in Danville.
