A warm front moved across the region during the morning of Monday, June 29th with an increasingly moist atmosphere. A cold front moved into Vermont during the late afternoon and evening of June 29th. Thunderstorms developed along and ahead of this front with locally strong winds and large hail. Specifically, in Groton (Caledonia county) thunderstorm winds blew down trees and power lines.
