An area of low pressure moved across southern Canada. During the afternoon, the associated cold front extended across northern portions of Vermont and New York. Thunderstorms developed along and ahead of the front. Specifically, in Bradford (Orange county), a swath of hundreds of trees and power lines were blown down by strong thunderstorm winds with golfball size hail. In addition, a tree and a sign was blown down in Randolph.
