Severe thunderstorms developed over northern Utah on this date. Hail, microburst winds and funnel clouds were all observed. Lightning sparked a house fire in Orem and caused extensive damage. Downed trees and power lines were also noted. 2 funnel clouds were observed by rangers at the Golden Spike National Monument.
