Drought conditions continue from June. Very little rainfall across SE TX combined with soaring temperatures continue to plague agricultural and medical conditions. With the exception of one day in July, afternoon highs remained above 96 degrees each and every day at IAH as well as many other locations across the region. Little relief at night, with overnight lows in the 75-80 degree range. Eight heat-related deaths were posted in Harris County alone this month. Drought conditions will continue into August.
