Where: Union County, La Grande

Coordinates: 45.310, -118.009 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Up to 1.50 inches of rain fell in 20 minutes. 0.25 inches of rain fell in only two minutes. Wind gusts to 50 mph were also reported. The result was a flooded underpass and several inches of water flowing along La Grande streets. Eight hundred to a thousand residents had power outages for several hours. The storm nearly wiped out crops in a 1 1/2 to 2 mile wide by 6 to 7 mile long strip between Island City and Cove.
