The Cuyahoga River at Independence exceeded its flood stage of 16 feet and crested at 18.1 feet at 0600 EST on 04/17/98. Flooding occurred along Tinkers Creek Road and Canal Road. There was also some flooding of residential and commercial areas on Gleeson and Charles Streets.
