An early morning thunderstorm downed numerous trees and power lines across Fulton. Virtually the entire city was without power for about 2 hours. The goalposts on the football field at Westminster College were blown down and the flagpole at the city baseball field was bent at a 45 degree angle. Some windows were broke on area homes by flying tree branches. Automobiles were also damaged by falling trees and limbs.
