A severe thunderstorm moved east across Moultrie and Douglas Counties. Thunderstorm winds damaged the roof of a house and workshop, as well as, a barn and lean-to on the west side of Arthur in Moultrie County.

A severe thunderstorm moved east across Moultrie and Douglas Counties. Thunderstorm winds damaged the roof of a house and workshop, as well as, a barn and lean-to on the west side of Arthur in Moultrie County. The winds also caused minor damage to three businesses and several homes in Arthur (Douglas County). The front awning of a hotel was destroyed and the siding was damaged. A 40 foot tall gas station sign was partly knocked down and several garage doors around town were damaged. Also, a 50 foot TV tower was partially bent over. No injuries were reported and no damage estimate was available.
