Rainfall from Hurricane Georges was estimated between ten and twenty inches across the county. The heavy rains caused many of the roads across the county to be closed for several hours. Schools were closed for three days due to washouts of many secondary roads. Many bridges along secondary roads had to be closed due to undermining by high water.
