An F1 tornado touched down about 2 miles southwest of Garden City and moved on a northeast course that took it across the Cullman-Blount county line. The tornado ended in Blount County along CR 26. One house suffered major structural damage with several other structures sustaining light damage. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped off.
